Sona passes away



Yesteryears’ actress Sona, popularly known as the lookalike of the yesteryears’ beauty, Madhubala and wife of the late don Haji Mastan  expired Saturday, July 19 at her Mumbai residence in Hill Park, Agarwal Industrial Estate, Jogeshwari (West). After having breakfast in the morning, Sona complained of suffocation and breathlessness and was rushed to the hospital by her family members where she breathed her last. She was around 65 years old and has no children and is survived by her sister Hansa and her elder brother Ajgar Hussain and his siblings.
 
Sona, first came to limelight, when her uncanny resemblance to the late Madhubala was noticed not only by the industry folks but also by the public who saw her acting in a few movies. Haji Mastan also saw her and fell for her looks and settled down with her in marital bliss. She acted in films like Milan Ki Aas amongst others and went on to make Secret Agent and Saat Ladkiyan. She also cut few albums along with nephew Naseer featuring Bollwood hits, including Madhubala hits titled as The Soul Of Madhubala. Sona had even owned a post-production studio.
